Dri-Can Desiccant Pack - DESCRIPTION
Part number 410-A001
Manufactured by:  Druck

Indicating Dri-Can desiccant packs are designed to rapidly and actively absorb moisture from the surrounding air in a confined space (ie a box).  As applied to submersible pressure / level sensors, they are used to keep the vent tubes in the cables attached to the sensors dry by keeping the humidity below the dew point that could otherwise cause condensation in the vent tubes.

The Dri-Can desiccant packs indicate when the desiccant is OK or used.  When the color is blue, the desiccant is OK; when it is red, it is time to be replaced.  Under normal conditions, the desiccant should be changed every 6 to 12 months.  The desiccant pack can be dried out by baking it in the oven at 135°C (275°F) for about 3 hours, or with the new plastic pack by heating in a microwave oven.
