Cooling Element-HCE - OVERVIEW
by Haygor

This cooling tower is ideal for applications with high media temperatures by creating a temperature drop of (min) 200 °F (93C). Results vary based on environmental conditions.

When are cooling elements used?

1) When the process media temperature exceeds the permissible temperature limit of the pressure measuring instrument. Through air circulation and heat radiation at the cooling element, the process media temperature lowers sufficiently so that the temperature does not exceed its limits, reducing the possibility of temperature errors.

2) Another use of the "cooling" element is when you want to warm cold media, provided that the ambient temperature is higher than that of the media.
