PTX1840 Submersible Pressure Transmitter - DESCRIPTION
by Druck

The PTX 1840 is identical to the PTX1830, except the PTX1840 uses a robust vented Hytrel® 6108 cable (hydrocarbon resistant), providing a high-integrity, waterproof assembly. The PTX1830 uses an equally robust, vented polyurethane cable. The cable is strengthened with Kevlar so that there is no measurable elongation when the cable is lowered into deep wells. The cable lengths are available at lengths ranging from 3 feet (included) up to 2,000 feet, depending on your application.

The PTX 1840 transmitter (4-20 mA output) is a fully submersible high performance pressure sensor for measurement of hydrostatic liquid levels. An advanced micro-machined silicon piezo-resistive pressure sensor provides excellent performance and resistance to shock and vibration. It is specifically designed for level and depth measurements in a variety of environments, including groundwater, well water, canals, rivers, seawater and other similar applications.

The PTX 1840 offers two levels of accuracy, depending on your needs: ±0.10% and ±0.06%.

The micro-machined silicon element is sealed within an all titanium pressure module assembly, fully isolated from the pressure media. This is contained in a slim-line (0.69 inches in diameter) welded titanium body, terminated in an injection molded cable assembly. Since it is constructed of all-welded titanium, it is backed by a 5-year corrosion warranty. Its small size is ideal in applications such as municipal water supply wells, leachate wells, and irrigation projects.
