TEK-COR 1100A SERIES CORIOLIS FLOW METER - OVERVIEW

TEK-COR 1100A SERIES CORIOLIS FLOW METER - OVERVIEW
by Tek-Trol

Built on the Coriolis principle, these flowmeters measure the mass of fluids directly, rather than by volume. The Tek-Trol range of Coriolis mass flowmeters, designed to measure almost any fluid across any application, do not require compensations for factors such as temperature and pressure, which impact volume and, in turn, impact the accuracy of measurement.
Consisting of two parallel tubes that oscillate using a magnet, the sensors fitted at the inlet and outlet of each tube measure the oscillations. In a no-flow state, the oscillations are synchronized, i.e., in phase with each other, since there is no mass exerting force on the tubes. But when any fluid or gas flowing through the tubes generates Coriolis forces, it causes them to twist in proportion to the mass flow rate of the medium.  The sensors measure the magnitude of this twisting as a phase shift between the inlet and outlet of the tubes; this phase shift is used to measure the mass flow rate of the medium.
