Trerice Industrial Thermometers DESIGN & OPERATION

<< BACK <<

Trerice Industrial Thermometers, commonly known as a “Liquid-In-Glass” or Light-Powered Digital Thermometer, are filled with a mercury-free liquid, installed at the measurement point, and is usually read from that location. The higher the measured temperature, the more this liquid expands, climbing inside the tube to give your measurement value.

As their name implies, industrial thermometers are generally more robust than laboratory thermometers and are used for temperature measurement in many industrial applications. And they are more accurate, stable, and have a long lifespan than regular thermometers because they don’t have any mechanically moving parts, which means no material fatigue and electrical energy consumption.

For applications where the process media may be corrosive or contained under pressure, a thermowell is required, which prevents damage to the thermometer and facilitates its removal from the process.
